In Wong's first chapter in his book, he was able to introduce The Effective Teacher, and that being that kind of teacher has its own ups and downs. He was even able to discuss the 4 Stages of Teaching which would suffice his purpose in the first chapter. Fantasy - the stage wherein the teacher is mostly in the first two years of teaching, thinking that everything that will happen in the classroom will be to his/her liking all the time. Survival - this stage is about having teachers go through struggles, thinking that they do let the students learn, but without giving the due intervention. This also happens when the teacher develops the patterned week of a lesson. Mastery - this is when teachers get to upgrade what they learn.
